6.3.7 Storm Control
Storm control protects connected Ethernet ports by controlling traffic rates during periods of high volume. When the
local device detects excessive traffic at its end, it can notify the link or the remote device by sending a pause frame.
The remote device stops sending data packets, which prevents any loss of data packets during the congestion
period.
