85170 – Polaris X2 - 2” Receiver Hitch
Hitch Mounting:
1. Loosen the (4) Nuts from the OEM Bolts on the Rear of the ATV as pointed out above.
2. Remove the top (2) OEM Bolts. Be sure to save the Nuts as they will be used later.
3. The bottom (2) OEM Bolts stay in the Machine. You may have to tap them in slightly
to allow the hitch to mount up easier.
4. Slide the hitch over the OEM 1 ¼” Receiver. Being sure that the two bottom Bolts
slide through the two bottom hole on the Kolpin Hitch.
5. Place the (2) OEM Nuts back onto the Bottom OEM Bolts. Don’t tighten yet!
6. Using the (2) 3/8” – 24 x 4.25” Bolts and (2) 3/8” Wahsers, slide the bolts through
the top holes in the hitch and the ATV. Place the Nuts back on the side you removed
them from.
7. Place the ½” Bolt through the 1 ¼” Receiver on the Bottom side of the hitch using the
(2) ½” Washers, one on each side of the ½” Bolt.
8. Place ½” Nylon Nut on the ½” Bolt.
9. Now that the hitch is all connected to the ATV, Tighten ALL hardware evenly and
Securely. The ½” Bolt should be tightened last.
