B2.2 How to use the Barcode-reader
With accessory „barcode reader pen“, it is easy to assign sample names to the measured
values or load references from the memory. To create the corresponding barcodes you need
the PC-Software spectral-qc.
First turn spectro-color
®
off. Then connect the 9-pole D-sub plug of the barcode reader pen
to spectro-color
®
(fig. 3, item 4).
Hold the barcode reader pen loosely at an angle of. 10
to 30 degrees to the perpendicular.
The top of the barcode reader pen must touch the
surface.
Place the barcode reader pen before the beginning of
the barcode.
Move the barcode reader pen swiftly and without
stopping over the barcode just like drawing a line
through the barcode.
When the code is marked correctly, you hear a beep
and see the scanned name on the display. If you don’t,
repeat scanning.
