The enclosure should be mounted in an area that is 
convenient for servicing, calibration or for observation 
of the LCD readout. 
 
1. Locate the transmitter within the length of 
transducer cable that was supplied with the 
D300/301 system. If this is not possible, do not 
attempt to add additional cable to the transducer. 
Contact the Dynasonics factory to coordinate an 
exchange for the proper cable length. Transducer 
cables that are up to 300 feet [90 meters] are 
available. 
 
2. Mount the D300/301 transmitter in a location that 
is:

Where little vibration exist. 
 
♦
Protected from falling corrosive fluids. 
 
♦
Within ambient temperature limits - 22 to 122°F 
[30 to 50°C] 
♦
Out of direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may 
increase temperatures within the transmitter to 
above maximum limit. 
 
3. Mounting: Refer to Figure 3.1 for enclosure and 
mounting dimension details. Ensure that enough 
room is available to allow for door swing, 
maintenance and conduit entrances. Secure the 
enclosure to a flat surface with four appropriate 
fasteners. 
 
4. Conduit holes.  Conduit hubs should be used 
where cables enter the enclosure. Holes not used 
for cable entry should be sealed with plugs. 
 
NOTE: Use NEMA 4 [ IP65 ] rated fittings plugs to 
maintain the water tight integrity of the enclosure.
