IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

WARNING - Turn of all power prior to beginning
any installation or maintenance of this fixture.
RISK OF FIRE. THIS FIXTURE IS NON I/C
RATED, NOT FOR USE WITH INSULATION.
Do not install insulation within 3 inches of fixture
sides or wiring compartment, nor above the fixture
in such a manner as to entrap heat.
FIXTURES REQUIRE 3 inches of overhead
clearance
in non-above ceiling access
applications for branch circuit inspection.
150M watt metal halide fixtures require 2x2
marked spacing.

1. Electric current can cause painful shock or
serious injury unless handled properly. For
you safety, always remember the following:
 Turn off the supply power.
 Ground the fixture to avoid potential electrical
shocks.
 Do not handle an energized fixture or
energize any fixture with wet hands, when
standing on a wet or damp surface, or in
water.
2. Specific safety information concerning
lamps:
 Match wattage of fixture and lamp exactly.
 Do not remove or insert lamp when power is
on.
 Do not scratch glass or subject lamp to
undue pressure as either may cause lamp
breakage.
 Protect operating lamp from sources of
moisture.
 If lamp is marked it contains
mercury. Follow disposal laws. See:
www.lamprecycle.org.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Upon receipt, thoroughly inspect for any freight
damage which should be brought to the attention of
the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog
description listed on the packing slip with the label
on the carton to ensure you have received the
correct merchandise.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
Read and familiarize yourself with the nomenclature and instructions before starting
installation.
Turn off electricity at the breaker panel or fuse box and follow National Electrical Code
regulations and applicable local building codes.
RETRO FIT OR NEW INSTALLTION:
1. Install rough-in section according to installation sheet provided with fixture. Do not install
trim at this time. If fixture is previously installed, remove trim. For products that use (3)
three-prong clips, replace (2) clips closest to the junction box with clips provided in pre-pack
by sliding over edge of draw down flange. (see Figure 1)
2. Install (4) ceiling plate retention brackets over (4) upright flanges on rough-in section. Align
slots so that nutsert is closest to aperture of frame with nutsert protruding up. (see Figure 2)
3. Install gasket on outside edge of ceiling mounting plate. (see Figure 3)

x 1¼” screws provided in pre-pack through ceiling plate into nutsert in each of
the retention brackets. Tighten (4) screws until ceiling plate is flushed to ceiling.
(see Figure 4)
5. Install reflector according to installation sheet provided with trim through aperture until
flange rests on ceiling plate. (see Figure 5)
6. Align (3) torx head (T-20 rejection pin) screws in finishing trim with nutserts in ceiling plate
and tighten to secure. (see Figure 6)
