INTENDED USE
For factory installation in Gotham ECOS fi xtures to operate LED arrays.
CONSTRUCTION
Black, 20-gauge steel, permanently sealed housing. Dual-voltage input capability
(120V or 277V). Polarized quick-connect light/switch assembly simplifies
installation.
Patented integrated test switch/pilot light that requires only one-hole drilling.
U.S. Patent No. 6,522,147.
OPTICS
Operates LED arrays for an initial output of 18% of rated lumens, for 90 minutes
upon interruption of normal power.
Low-glare, shadow-free illumination provides excellent visibility for safe building
evacuation.
ELECTRICAL
Sealed, maintenance-free, high-temperature nickel-cadmium battery. Ensures
long life over a wide range of temperatures.
Polarized battery connector simplifi es maintenance and prevents charger damage
due to improper connection.
Pilot light and test switch provide visual and manual means of monitoring system
operation.
Automatic battery recharge after 90-minute discharge.
INSTALLATION
Unit can be remote mounted up to half the distance recommended by the LED driver
manufacturer or 50 feet, whichever is less.
Unit wired into building circuit in two ways: on night light circuit (permanently
energized) or on switchable circuit (unswitched circuit to the battery charger and
switched circuit to the fi xture). Unit will strike normally off lamp.
LISTING
UL recognized. Meets UL 924, NFPA 101 (current Life Safety Code), NEC and OSHA
illumination standards.
