The active GPS antenna should fulfill the following requirements:

Bandwidth
+/- 2 MHz
The supply voltage to the active GPS antenna is provided by the UC864-G.

2.7.3.1 GSM/WCDMA Applications
The
UC864-E/G
module is equipped with a 50 Ohm RF connector from Murata, GSC type P/N
MM9329-2700B. The suitable counterpart is Murata MXTK92 Type or MXTK88 Type.
2.7.3.2 GPS Applications (only for UC864-G)
The
UC864-G
module is equipped with an additional 50 Ohm RF connector from Murata, GSC type
P/N MM9329-2700B. The suitable counterpart is Murata MXTK92 Type or MXTK88 Type.
2.8 GPS features (only for UC864-G)
The
UC864-G
includes the Qualcomm gpsOne functionality to support standalone GPS that supports
real-time location in urban area and wherever a high sensitivity acquisition is needed.
This enables a wide variety of location-based services and applications, including points of interest,
personal navigation, and friend finder.
In standalone mode, the handset demodulates the data directly from the GPS satellites and it requires
no server interaction and works out of network coverage.
As main features of such GPS receiver, we can mention:
• Simultaneous GPS and Voice/Data
• High sensitivity for indoor reception, up to -157dBm (with active antenna)
• Extremely fast TTFF’s at low signal levels
