9081 Functional Description
Figure 1-1 shows a functional block diagram of the 9081. The 9081 frame
synchronizer also includes embedded audio support and routing and a video
processor. The 9081 also handles AFD code detection and processing, and
closed captioning support.

decoding.
Note: Some of the functions described below are available only when using the
DashBoard™, or Cobalt
® OGCP-9000 or OGCP-9000/CC Control Panels
user interfaces. Refer to User Control Interface (p. 1-13) for user interface
descriptions.
9081 Input/Output Formats
The 9081 provides the following inputs and outputs:

HD/SD SDI IN – dual-rate HD/SD-SDI input
• Outputs:

SDI OUT – four dual-rate HD/SD-SDI buffered video outputs

RCK OUT – four reclocked HD/SD-SDI input copies
•
DOLBY META ( +DEC only) – RS-485 Dolby ® metadata output can
consist of input video or Dolby ® decoder metadata output.
Note: The input/output complement listed above represents the maximum capability
of the 9081. The practical input/output complement is determined by the par-
ticular Rear I/O Module used with the 9081. Refer to 9081 Rear I/O Modules
(p. 1-15) for more information.
