Digital Multi-Video Broadcast Platform
Features
Mix and match video standards in one platform
Provides broadcasters and cable operators with
a migration path allowing them to transport digi-
tized analog signals and digital signals. The
5RU chassis can accommodate up to 2 power
supply modules, 2 optical transceiver modules,
and 8 interface modules.
Meets all additional FCC requirements for the
number of “must carry” audio channels and dig-
ital signal transmission.
A truly redundant system with redundant optics
and power supplies.
Available with 1310 nm, 1550 nm, CWDM and
DWDM optics.
Hot-swappable, field-installabele, mix and
match video/audio modules provide optimum
transmission flexibility and system availability.
The user can monitor the status and configure
all installed modules, as well as monitor the
system’s optical performance, through either
the 24 LED indicators or the 4-line, 20-charac-
ter LCD display screen. An SNMP power sup-
ply option allows for remote monitoring and
configuration.
The LCD panel read-out includes detailed sys-
tem status such as optical terminal power, and
temperature levels, the system’s module config-
uration and the audio levels of each channel.
Example 1: Model 4762 duplex transmission of four HDTV (ASI) digital channels and eight 10 bit
analog video channels along with 24 audio channels for cable operators to transport from head-
end to headend to hubs. The video and audio signals are digitally multiplexed on to a single fiber
and can be sent up to 40 km (1310 nm) or 80 km (1550 nm).
