RECEIVER HITCH
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WAR 1085
1.
Remove bottom bumper bolts; threaded upwards into bottom of frame.
2.
Slide hitch up alongside frame rails, reinstall bumper bolts through hitch
into frame to hold hitch in place. DO NOT TIGHTEN.
3.
With a _” box end wrench, feed supplied _” nut through hole in bottom
of frame to upper hole, (step #3, figure #1) thread bolt into nut.
DO NOT TIGHTEN.
4.
Install nut and bolt (step #4, figure #1) into lower center hole.
DO NOT TIGHTEN.
5.
Tighten the 2 bolts on each side of frame to 65 ft/lbs. Tighten bottom
bumper bolts to 65 ft/lbs.
6.
Using a _” drill bit, drill through frame using hitch hole as a guide (step
#6, figure #1).
7.
Install last bolts through drilled hole. Tighten to 65 ft/lbs.
8.
After test drive re-torque all bolts.
Do not exceed Vehicle Manufacturers Recommended Towing Capacity!
*Load Capacity 2,500 – 5,500 lbs.
