Installation
Telephone base backup battery installation
You can install a backup battery in the telephone base to guarantee continual operation during a power outage. The telephone
base backup battery only supports complete operation for the telephone base and handset on line 1 during a power outage.
You can buy rechargeable battery (BT264392/BT266342) for the telephone base. When the battery is installed and AC power is
connected, the battery will be recharged.
You should replace the installed battery when the LED next to the battery compartment flashes.
Install the battery as shown below.
Insert a 5 mm standard screwdriver in the provided slot and then twist and lift to remove the battery compartment cover.
Plug the battery connector securely into the socket inside the battery compartment.
Place the battery with the label
THIS SIDE UP facing up and the wires inside the battery compartment.
To replace the cover, align all the tabs on the telephone base battery cover against the corresponding grooves on the telephone
base, then firmly push downward until all the tabs lock in the grooves. Install the screw at the bottom of the handset.

Unplug the battery connector from the socket and then remove the battery from the battery compartment.
