16. For easy printer identification, it is recommended that you change the printer name from Universal
Printing PCL 5 to the name of the TROY printer you are installing (e.g., TROY MICR 4515 Secure
EX Printer) by typing over the highlighted printer name. If you want to use this printer as your default
printer, be sure to select this printer as the default printer.
17. If you are installing this printer on a Server 2008 machine, or you are in a network that requires you to
share the printer, choose the option to share your printer over the network, give it a share name and then
click Next to continue. Otherwise, do not share the printer and click Next.
18. Click on Yes to print a test page to verify that your printer driver was installed correctly, and then click
on Next to continue.

Click on Finish to complete the installation. The printer driver installation will proceed automatically
and add the printer icon to the printer folder.
20.
If you are using the printer’s USB port to connect the printer to the host computer, connect the USB
cable from the host computer to the printer (see Figure 1 and 2). The connector is keyed and can only
be inserted on one orientation.
21.
Switch printer power ON to complete the driver installation. The host computer will automatically
detect the presence of a USB-connected printer. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the HP
PCL 5e printer driver installation and setup.
