Carrier Mounting Flange Design Change
Axle Housing Fasteners
On June 3, 2002 the D/R404 family models were upgraded to the
new “Thick Flange” carrier design as fully detailed in Spicer bulletin
AXIP-0210r1. Shown below are the axle housing hardware kits and
fastener locations for both variations. View fastener locations as if
installing differential into the axle housing.
NOTE GM Vehicles use a double-ended capscrews at the housing
fastener location. The hardware kits above can be used, but the unique
capscrew must be purchased individually.
