6.7 System Tools
The System Tools enable you to optimize the system maintenance and management. You
can set the alert notification, restart or shut down the server, configure the hardware
settings, update the system firmware, back up/restore/reset the system settings, set the
E-map, and run the ping test.
6.7.1 Alert Notification
Enter the email address of the administrator and the IP address of the SMTP server. When
an error occurs, e.g. power outage or a hard disk drive is unplugged, an alert email will be
sent to the specified recipients automatically. You can go to the ‘Event Logs’ to view the
details of all the errors and warnings.
Note: It is recommended to send a test email to make sure the mail server settings are
correct.
