The fields in the Log Sheet Characteristics window are explained in the following

Field Description
Name
Name of the log sheet.
This is a mandatory field.
Parent
Name of the folder in which the log sheet is to be filed in
the tree structure of the Database Explorer.
Browsing in this field displays the folders already created in
the Logs section of the Database Explorer, allowing you to
select the requested folder.
Date
Date when the log sheet is created or date of the logged
event.
This is a mandatory field.
Description
Description that will only appear in this window.
This is an optional field.
Automatically
Export Logs to

Party
Check this box to generate an xml file of the log sheet each
time it is modified (new log element, relevant recorders
modified, etc.). The IP Scheduler service will create the xml
file and send it to a dedicated folder.
The option availability depends on the configuration defined
in the Configure > Log Export menu of the Remote
Installer. More precisely, it depends on the Automatically
Export All New Logs option and the definition of a
dedicated folder for export.

NFORMATION
A logging profile is a file generated to enable specific user fields to be added to a
log sheet or “automatic keywords” to be managed in log entries on a log sheet.
The logging profiles either can be created outside the IPDirector interface as an
.xml file and imported into IPDirector or can be created from within IPDirector, via
the Metadata Profile Management function. Refer to chapter on Metadata Profile
Management in part 1 of the user manual.
