Handsfree talking
You can put the phone aside during
a call. You can then hear the caller
via the loudspeaker.
Clamshell closed
If you accept a call with the clamshell
closed, handsfree talking is activated
automatically.
Handsfree talking is deactivated au-
tomatically, if you open the clam-
shell during a call.

Incoming calls during a call
You may need to register for this
service with your service provider
and set your phone accordingly. Dur-
ing a call, you may be advised that
there is another call waiting. You will
hear a special tone during the call
(page 114). You have the following
options:
If you close the clamshell while in hands-
free mode, a request is displayed on the
outer display whether or not you want to
continue the call. If you do not answer the
request the call is ended automatically af-
ter a short time.
A video call is ended whithout request if
you close the clamshell also when in
handsfree mode.
Warning!
Always switch off "handsfree talking" be-
fore holding the phone to your ear! Other-
wise you will damage your hearing!
Additional information
During a video call the speakerphone is
activated by default.
