SOUNDS
TIP
The UTStarcom PN-820 comes with a large standard set of ringtones
and sounds. You can also add your own as long as they are in the
correct format.
CHANGE OR TURN SOUNDS ON OR OFF
Any sound can be toggled on or off at any time, or you can turn the
phone’s sound off altogether.
1 From the Home screen, press the left soft key <
[Start].
2 Select Settings and press O [OK].
3 Scroll to Sounds and press O [OK].
4 Select the sound setting for a ring tone or an
event you wish to change and use the left and
right Navigation Keys to alter settings. Press
None if you don’t want to hear a sound.
5 Repeat for each event, and press [Done].
For ring tones, you can use sounds in .wav, .mid, mp3, or .wma
file formats.
When you select a sound, it plays. To hear it again, select
Menu ➞ Play.
