Changing the main battery

5 Carefully slide the battery release latch toward the right
side of the computer.
Removing the battery
6 With the battery release latch pulled toward the right side
of the computer, grasp the battery pack and gently pull it
free.
WARNING: If the battery is leaking or its case is cracked, put on
protective gloves to handle it, and discard it immediately following
the advice in
“Disposing of used batteries safely” on page 138 .
Inserting a charged battery
1 Wipe the battery terminals of the charged battery with a
clean cloth to ensure a good connection.
2 With the battery release latch pulled toward the right side
of the computer, insert the front end of the battery pack
into the computer and gently slide it in until it snaps into
place.
