Your phone comes set for tone dialing. If you have
pulse service, you need to change the dialing mode.

If you are not sure which type of service you have,
do this test:

1. Lift the handset, press

TALK/FLASH

, and listen

for a dial tone.

2. Press any number other than

or, if required,

an outside line access code (9, for example).

If the dial tone stops, you have touch-tone
service.

If the dial tone continues, you have pulse
service.

Once you have determined which type of service
you have, set the dialing mode.

1. Press

END

to hang up the phone if necessary,

then hold down

CID/MENU

until the selection

screen appears.

2. Press 4 or

three times to select

If the battery power is too low, the dial mode might
reset to tone. If you are on a pulse line and cannot
make a call, try re-setting the dialing mode to pulse.
