Backing up and restoring information

You can backup information from your phone’s memory to the memory card.

Note: Items that you have purchased like ringing tones or images and which
are protected by digital rights management, backed up to the memory card can
only be restored to the phone from which they were backed up. For more

You can restore information from the memory card to the phone’s memory.

Memory card password

You can set a password to lock your memory card against unauthorised use.

Note: The password is stored in your phone and you don’t have to enter it again
while you are using the memory card on the same phone. If you use the memory
card on another phone, you will be asked for the password to unlock it.

To set, change, or remove your password

For every option you will be asked to enter and confirm your password. The password can
be up to eight characters long.

Important:

Once the password is removed, the memory card is unlocked and can

be used on another phone without a password.
