Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)
The following explanation uses COOLPIX990 as an example.
After installing Nikon Capture 3 and restart-
ing the computer, connect your camera to the
computer using a USB cable and turn the cam-
era on. The camera will be registered auto-
matically.
If a message is displayed prompting you to insert a disk, insert the Windows Second Edition
CD into the CD-ROM drive and click OK.
Follow the instructions below to check that the camera has been correctly registered with the
system.
Step 1
Right-click the My Computer icon on the
desktop and select Properties from the menu
that appears. The System Properties dialog
will be displayed. Click the Device Manager
tab.
Before Connecting the Camera
Be sure to install Nikon Capture 3 before connecting your camera to the computer.
Step 2
After confirming that Imaging Device is listed
in the Device Manager tab, click the plus sign
(+) to its left.
