Device Registration: D100/COOLPIX-Series Cameras
Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)
The following explanation uses D100 as an example.
After installing Nikon Capture 3 and restart-
ing the computer, connect your camera to the
computer using a USB cable and turn the cam-
era on. The camera will be registered auto-
matically.
Follow the instructions below to check that the camera has been correctly registered with the
system.
Step 1
Right-click the My Computer icon on the
desktop and select Properties from the menu
that appears. The System Properties dialog
will be displayed. Click the Device Manager
tab.
Step 2
After confirming that Disk drives, Hard disk
controllers, and Universal Serial Bus con-
trollers are listed in the Device Manager tab,
click the plus sign (+) next to each of these
device types.
Before Connecting the Camera
Be sure to install Nikon Capture 3 before connecting your camera to the computer.
