Insert the batteries as

indicated and slide the door
back on.

Place the handset face up

on the base to charge.
A beep confi rms the handset
is placed correctly and
charging will begin.

When there is enough

power in the batteries, the
handset will automatically
register with the base.
The standby screen is
displayed. Or if the display
shows

you must select

the country grouping for
your area.

If you need to select
your

country

Scroll or

to select

the appropriate code for
your country (see below).
Then press

to confi rm.

The unit will reset and the
standby screen is displayed.

Note

If you receive a call before the
country code is set, you can
take the call. When the call is
ended the display returns to
the original screen ready for
you to set the country code.
Caller Identifi cation will not
work until the country has
been selected.

Leave the handset until the

batteries are fully charged
(at least 24 hours).
The handset batteries are
fully charged when the
charging animation stops and
the

battery charged) icon

is displayed.
