12.1 Recording paper jam
12.1.1 When the recording paper has
jammed inside of the unit
The display will show the following.
PAPER JAMMED
b
OPEN TOP COVER
Caution:
L Do not pull out the jammed paper forcibly before
opening the top cover.
L To prevent injuries, be careful not to put your
hands under the top cover.
1 Lift the top cover release lever ( 1) and open the top
cover ( 2).
Important:
L Close the manual input tray ( 3) before
opening the top cover.
Note:
L Do not touch the transfer roller ( 5).
Caution:
The fuser unit (
4) gets hot. Do not touch
it.
