Note
On DVDs....
Random playback of chapters
within one title
Press RANDOM button once, then press
ENTER button.
• “RANDOM CHP” will appear on the screen, and chapters within
the title will be played back in a random order.
Random playback of titles
Press RANDOM button twice, then press
ENTER button.
• “RANDOM TITLE” will appear on the screen, and titles will be
played back in a random order.
On CDs, Video CDs....
Press RANDOM button.
¶ “RANDOM” will appear on the screen, and random playback
will begin.
During Random play:
¶ Press ¢ button, and the player’s next song or scene starts
playing.
¶ Press 4 button, and playback of the current song or scene
starts again from the beginning.
Stopping Random play
Press CLEAR button.
¶ This returns you to normal playback of chapters/tracks in order
from the chapter/track currently playing.
◆ With Video CDs, Random play is not possible during playback
with the menu displayed (PBC playback). To perform Random
play, start playback without displaying a menu (refer to page 25),
and press RANDOM button.
◆ Random play of programmed chapters/tracks is not possible.
◆ In the case of DVDs, random playback may not be possible with
some discs.
◆ Repeat playback of random playback is not possible.
