Playing a USB mass storage
device

Make sure that your AZ5836 is being powered
by AC mains or specified batteries.

Press SOURCE repeatedly (or USB/AUX on
the remote control) to select USB.

Plug a compatible USB mass storage device to
AZ5836’s USB port. If needed, use a suitable
USB cable to connect between the device and
AZ5836’s USB port.
➜ The device will automatically power on.
• If the device is not powered on, turn on the
power manually, then re-connnect it.
➜ The set will automatically play the audio
contents stored on the device.

Helpful hints:
– Up to 800 playable audio files stored on a USB
mass storage device can be played on AZ5836.
– Up to 99 playable albums stored on a USB
mass storage device can be selected and
displayed on AZ5836.
– Make sure that file names of MP3 files end with
.mp3. and the file names of WMA files end with
.wma.
– For DRM protected WMA files, use Windows
Media Player 10 (or later) for conversion. Visit
www.microsoft.com for details about Windows
Media Player and WM DRM (Windows Media
Digital Rights Management).
– For USB device playing, if the display shows
"OL", it means that the USB device is electrically
overloading AZ5836. You need to change a USB
device.

Using a non-USB device

Connect the system's AUX IN jack to the
AUDIO OUT

jacks on another audio/visual

device (such as a VCR, Laser Disc player or
cassette desk).

Press SOURCE repeatedly on the set or USB/
AUX

on the remote control to select external

equipment.

AUX" is displayed.

Note:
– All the sound control features (DSC or DBB, for
example) are available for selection.
– Refer to the operating instructions of the
connected equipment for details.
