Frame-by-Frame Playback

This lets you move ahead one frame at a time
during playback.

Press

STEP

(

E).

Each time you press

STEP

(

E), you move

ahead one frame.
• To return to normal playback, press

PLAY/PAUSE

(

6).

Slow Motion Playback

This lets you slow down playback speed.

Press

STEP

(

E) for 1 second during

playback.
The slow playback mark is displayed, forward
Slow Motion playback begins.
• To return to normal playback, press

PLAY/PAUSE

(

6).

Notes

• There is no sound during Still, Frame-by-

Frame or Slow Motion playback.

• Depending on the disc and the playback loca-

tion on the disc, the prohibited mark may be
displayed indicating that Still, Frame-by-
Frame and Slow Motion playback are not pos-
sible.

• With some discs, images may be unclear

during Frame-by-Frame and Slow Motion play-
back.

• Reverse Frame-by-Frame playback and

Reverse Slow Motion playback are possible,
only connecting the XDV-P9.

Operating using Information
Display 1

Specify Title, Chapter or Time to search for a
desired scene and play it back.

1 Push the remote controller’s joystick
left/right to select Title or Chapter (or Track)
in Information Display 1.
The selected item is indicated in green.

2 Push the remote controller’s joystick
up/down to indicate the desired number.

3 Press the remote controller’s joystick
directly down to complete selection.

Notes

• You can also specify a Title, Chapter (or Track)

or Time directly without using an Information
Display. (Refer to 49.)

• With discs that feature menus, you can press

MENU

to select for display of menu indica-

tions.

• Some discs may feature a prohibited mark,

indicating that display of Title and Chapter
indications is not possible.

• You cannot specify a Chapter when in the

Stop mode.

• If you perform no operation for about eight

seconds, the specified number becomes
invalid.
