ENGINE BREAK-IN

With a basic understanding of how the snowmobile works, and with

close attention paid to maintenance tips, you will be ready to ride.

Keep in mind these recommendations as well as those covered

throughout this manual.

Checking Engine Oil

Before checking or refilling engine

oil, be sure the engine is located on a

stable, level surface and stopped.

S

Do not thread the gauge into the oil

filler (A) to check oil level.

S

If the oil level is below the lower lev-

el line (B) on the dipstick, you must

add oil to the upper level (C) of the

dipstick. Use the table to determine

the proper oil.

S

Change the oil if it is contaminated.

S

Use class SE, SF (API classification)

or higher grade oil.

S

If multi--grade oil is used, oil con-

sumption will increase when the am-

bient temperature is high.

Use only Polaris Premium 4 All Season synthetic oil. Never

substitute or mix oil brands. Serious engine damage and

voiding of warranty can result.
