Syringe
Touch the tip of the syringe to the center of the
pink test square. Gently apply pressure to the
plunger. As the blood emerges from the tip of
the syringe, it is absorbed by the test square.
▲ CAUTION
Avoid applying too much blood when using a
syringe or you may get an inaccurate, high
result.
Alternatively, dispense the blood from the
syringe into a test tube, then apply blood to
the test square using a narrow-bore pipette.
Pipette
Touch the drop of blood emerging from the tip
of a narrow-bore pipette to the center of the
pink test square.
