Taking Pictures in Aperture Mode
- In this mode, the camera automatically sets the shutter speed after you
select the aperture setting.
- Focus value differs with zoom magnifications and can be switched to 2
levels according to magnification.

1. Select “APERTURE”.
2. When you press the SET/DISP. button,
the current aperture setting appears on
the LCD monitor and you can then set
the aperture to the desired setting.
Use the
̄ button to set the aperture
and then take the picture.
• You can also use the
̇ or ̈ buttons to
set the exposure compensation.
• Each time you press the
̆ button, the functions of the ̄, ̇ and ̈ buttons change.
When the aperture setting is displayed in white, the aperture and exposure settings
can be specified. However, by pressing the
̆ button, the functions of the ̄, ̇ and ̈
buttons can be changed to White Balance (
̄), Macro mode (̇) and Flash mode (̈)
respectively.
• As with Program mode (p.76), AE lock and AF lock (p.77) can be used to take pictures
in Aperture mode.
