MP3 and JPEG disc playback
You can playback CD-R/RW recorded in the MP3 and JPEG format.
Caution:
If you convert MP3 data to "audio CD" data when recording on a CD-R/RW, play it as
an audio CD. The MP3 operation cannot be performed.
Notes:
!
Up to 18 characters can be displayed for an album name and a track name. Under-
lines, asterisks, and spaces may not be displayed.
!
The 8th or later layers cannot be played back.

Load a disc containing MP3 and
JPEG tracks.
A menu screen appears.

Press the or button to select a folder or a track and press the
ENTER or / button.
Playback starts when you select a track.
To return to the previous layer, press the RETURN button.
When playing JPEG tracks

When the ENTER button is pressed, the respective track remains displayed.
(Stop condition)
!
When the / button is pressed, switching to the next track will take place ap-
prox. every 5 seconds. When the button is pressed, the respective track re-
mains displayed. (Stop condition)
Example of playback sequence
Playback is made in the order of 1 to 11 in
this example.
Tracks on some discs cannot be played in
order.
