How to Operate the REMOTE CONTROL (9PIN/DV MASTER) Screen

Operate the REMOTE CONTROL (9PIN MASTER/DV MASTER) screen from the keyboard.
Keyboard: Make selections with the cursor keys (

†/©/√/∞), then press Enter to confirm or execute.

The cursor can be moved with mouse operations.
* When the REMOTE CONTROL screen is displayed, operation of the FWD, REV, PLAY, REC, PAUSE, MENU, and TOP MENU

buttons of this machine is not accepted.

Operation example: Change the ACTION item setting of event no. 1 from PAUSE to STOP.

. Press the cursor keys (

†/©/√/∞) to move the cursor to the ACTION item of event no. 1.

. Press the “Enter” key.

● The current setting value of the ACTION item (PAUSE) is underlined. (The setting of an item can be changed when it is

underlined.)

. Press the cursor keys (

†/©/√/∞) to select the setting value STOP.

. Press the “Enter” key.

● The underline disappears, and the ACTION item setting value changes to STOP.

Controlling the VCR playback operations

The VCR is controlled using the VCR control button on the REMOTE CONTROL screen. Select the operation button, press the

“Enter” key, and the VCR starts to operate. This machine is not controlled.

w : Pause

u : Fast reverse or fast-reverse play t : Play

: Frame-Reverse play

: Frame-advance play

q : Stop

y : Fast forward or fast-forward play

* The action to be taken by the DVD recorder in response to pressing of the

y or u button (i.e., FF/REW or SEARCH) is

selected using REM FF/REW MODE from the REMOTE MENU screen.

Changing the monitor screen to the EE screen

Press the “R” key on the keyboard to go to the EE screen. When pressed the second time, the display returns to the REMOTE

CONTROL screen.

Cursor (

†/©/√/∞) and Enter keys: Moves the cursor and confirms.

“|”

: IN point registration (registers the current source time code in the final event)

“O”

: OUT point registration (if an IN point is registered in the final event, the current source time code is regis-

tered.)

“DEL”

: Deletes the event line at the position of the cursor.

“SHIFT+DEL”

: Deletes all events.

“INS”

: Moves the events after the cursor position down by 1, and allows an event to be registered in the space

vacated.

“SPACE”

: Carries out the edit start/finish operation.

“R”

: Toggles the screen between EE and REMOTE. (Toggle operation)

The following keys control the VCR playback operation. (These can be used even when the “R” key is pushed and the EE screen
is displayed.)
“S” : Fast-reverse/Fast-reverse playback

“D”: Stop

“F”: Playback

“G”: Still

“H” : Fast-forward/Fast-forward playback

“V”: Frame-reverse playback

“B”: Frame-advance playback
