52 Specific Track Playback (Audio CDs)

There are three ways to begin playback on an Audio CD at a
specific Track: Use the Number buttons, the SEARCH MODE
button, or j / h or i / g.

Before you begin, press SELECT to put the
TV/VCR/DVD in DVD mode. The green DVD light
will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.

1

Using the Number Buttons to Select a Track
During playback or when playback is stopped, press the
Number buttons to enter the desired Track number.
Playback will start at the selected Track.
For single-digit Tracks (1-9), press a single Number button.
For Tracks 10 and above, press the +100/+10 button so the
Search display (TR: _ _ ) appears on the screen. Within 30 sec-
onds, press the Number button of the first digit, then press the
Number button of the second digit. For example, to play Track
26, press +100/+10, then Number 2, then Number 6.
If you enter a Track number that is not available on the Disc,
playback will not begin (or the current Track will continue to
play). The Search display (TR: _ _ ) will disappear automatically.

2

Using SEARCH MODE to Select a Track
Press SEARCH MODE once so the Track Search dis-
play appears. Within 30 seconds, press the Number
buttons to select the Track number you desire.
Playback
will begin at the selected Track. For a single-digit Track (1-9),
enter a zero first. For example, to play Track 5, press 0, 5.
(You do not have to use the +100/+10 button for Tracks 10
and above in this situation.) If you enter a Track number that is
not available, playback will not begin (or the current Track will
continue to play). The space beside TR will clear automatically
in the Search display.

3

Using j / h or i / g to Select a Track
During playback, press
i / g to skip the current
Track and move to the next Track.
The Track number
will appear briefly on the screen.
During playback, press j / h to return to the
beginning of the current Track. Press
j / h
repeatedly to go to previous Tracks. The Track number
will appear briefly on the screen.

• You cannot use i / g to go

from the last Track on the Disc to
the first Track.

• If you press i / g or j

/ h when playback is paused,
the selected Track will begin
playing automatically.
