Belt Sanding
the sanding belt removes material faster than the
sanding disc, and can be secured at any angle
from horizontal to completely vertical with the use
of the pivot cap screw shown in
figure 36.

If the sanding belt or table unexpectedly
moves when sanding, your hands could slip
and contact the moving sandpaper, result-
ing in abrasion injuries. Always make sure
the table lock lever and the sanding belt
pivot cap screw are tight before operation.
