Allowing the Installation of
Applications
You can allow the installation of
applications from outside the Android ™
Market.
1. From the Home screen, touch
> Settings > Application
Management > Manage
Applications.
2. Select the Unknown Sources check
box.
Accounts and Sync
Settings
From the Home screen, touch >
Settings > Accounts and Sync.
• Background Data—allows
applications, such as e-mail, to send
and receive data at any time.
• Auto-sync—allows applications,
such as e-mail, to synchronize with
the server automatically.
• Select an account to change the
sync settings.

settings, see pages 101–102 .
Security and Location
Settings
From the Home screen, touch >
Settings > Security and Location.
• My Parking Spot—saves your
parking spot when you remove the
device from the mount while power
is applied to it.
• Use Wireless Networks—
determines your location using
Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
• Use GPS Satellites—determines
your location using GPS satellites.
