Chapter 5 Downloading the Manual
For this scanner, the Operator's Guide (PDF), which
contains information about scanner settings,
administration, and operations, is provided in addition
with this manual. Read it when using the scanner.
Use Adobe Reader (*) to view the Operator's Guide.
*: Adobe Reader can be downloaded from the following
site.
http://www.adobe.com/
This section describes how to download the manual.
1.
Specify the scanner name or IP address as the
URL using the Web browser of the computer to
which the manual is to be downloaded.
http://scanner_name or IP_address/
DThe Login window appears.
2.
Click the [Operator's Guide] button.
DThe [File Download] dialog box appears.
3.
Click the [Save] button.
DThe [Save As] dialog box appears.
4.
Select a folder, and click the [Save] button.
DThe manual is downloaded and saved in the
specified folder.
If Adobe Reader is not installed, and the [Open] button
is pressed, a connection error occurs.
