System Requirements
The Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise requires the following
components to be installed prior to installing this release script.
IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Server Support
The Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise requires the following
network server components:

DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Edition 8.3/8.4 (Windows, AIX)
„
DB2 Content Manager supported database
This release script was tested with DB2 Content Manager Enterprise 8.3/8.4 in a Windows
environment, using:
„
DB2 Universal Database 8.2 with Fix Pack 1, WebSphere Application Server version 5.1.1,
DB2 Net Search Extender 8.2, and DB2 Information Integrator for Content 8.3 (DB2
Content Manager 8 Connector).
„
DB2 Content Manager Enterprise 8.4.
IBM Content Manager for iSeries Database
IBM has modified the IBM Content Manager for iSeries database to be compatible with IBM DB2
Content Manager Enterprise Edition 8.3. For information on upgrading your IBM Content
Manager for iSeries database, please contact your IBM Content Manager representative.
Kofax has tested the Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise 8.3/8.4 to
release to the IBM Content Manager for iSeries database using IBM DB2 Connect Personal Edition
for Content Manager 8.3, IBM DB2 Information Integrator for Content Manager 8.3, and IBM DB2
Content Manager 8.3 Enterprise Windows Client on a Windows XP Professional (with Service
Pack 2) platform.
Client Operating System Support
The Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise supports the following
client operating systems:

Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4
„
Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4
„
Windows Server 2003 (Standard or Enterprise Edition), SP1, SP2
„
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
Note At the time of publishing these release notes, the Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2
Content Manager Enterprise was certified with the Service Packs listed above.
