Image Support
This release script supports the following file formats / compression formats:
Multipage TIFF — Group 4 Compression
Multipage TIFF — Uncompressed Image Format
Single page TIFF — Group 4 Compression
Single page TIFF — Uncompressed Image Format
MO:DCA
JPG — JPEG Compression
PCX — PackBytes Compression
Kofax PDF
Adobe PDF from TIFF
Adobe PDF from JPEG
Adobe PDF from PCX
Kofax PDF Support
With the Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise, you can release
Kofax PDF documents into your DB2 Content Manager system. Kofax PDF is bundled with
Ascent Capture and does not require additional software implementation. Kofax PDF documents
can be saved in the following output types:
PDF Image Only
PDF Image + Text

Adobe Acrobat Capture PDF Support
The Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise supports releasing Adobe
Acrobat Capture PDF documents into your DB2 Content Manager system. The software is
provided by Adobe Acrobat Capture and is not included with the Ascent Capture product. To
release Adobe PDF documents, you must install the Adobe® Acrobat Capture® 3.0 Clustered or
Personal Edition software.

Capture PDF documents.
OCR Full Text Support
With the Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise, you can release
documents processed through the Ascent Capture OCR Full Text module into your DB2 Content
Manager system.
Refer to OCR Full Text Options on page 12 for more information about OCR full text files.
eDocument Support
With the Ascent 7.0 Release Script for IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise, you do not need to
limit your batches to image files. eDocuments are supported into your DB2 Content Manager
system.
