OCR Full Text Options

This release script allows you to select OCR full text options at release setup time. For example,

you can specify that you want to release OCR full text files as part of the image or as the base of a

released document. The OCR Full Text options for the release script are available on the General

Settings tab.

Refer to the IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Help for details about how OCR full text files

and non-image files are released to the DB2 Content Manager system (Help keyword: File format

combinations).

Note

The options for releasing OCR full text files require various Content Manager item type

quick reference chart of the item type requirements for releasing OCR full text files. The chart also

includes a description of how the document parts are stored in Content Manager, based on the

OCR full text options.

To release OCR full text files, you must also enable Ascent Capture OCR full text processing in

your applicable document class and add the OCR Full Text module to your applicable document

class / batch class.

X To enable OCR full text processing for a document class

From the Create Document Class dialog box or Document Class Properties dialog box,

select the OCR tab.

Check the Enable OCR full text check box to enable OCR full text processing for the

document class.

Click Apply to save your settings without closing the dialog box. Click OK to save your

settings and close the dialog box.

X To add the OCR Full Text module to a batch class

From the Create Batch Class dialog box or Batch Class Properties dialog box, select the

Queues tab.

Select OCR Full Text from the list of Available Queues, and click Add.

Click Apply to save your settings without closing the dialog box. Click OK to save your

settings and close the dialog box.
