DNS Configuration
5. Next to the
Configuration
option, select the
Obtain configuration from DHCP server
radio button.
6. Click
OK
.
To manually set the DNS servers to be used by
the DataSafe NAS
1. On the primary menu bar, click
Network Setup
.
2. On the Network Setup page, click
Interfaces
.
3. From the
Object Selection
table, select the
network connection to modify.
4. On the
Tasks
list, select
DNS
.
5. Next to the
Configuration
option (see Figure 8
on page 31), select the
Configure manually
radio button.
6. Enter the appropriate server name in the box next
to the
Add
button, then click
Add
.
7. To add another DNS server, repeat step 5.
8. When you are finished adding DNS servers, click
OK
.
Note:
If the IP address is set to be obtained from
DHCP, and you set DNS manually, the system
will accept the manual input, and the
properties on the DataSafe NAS will
automatically be set to
Configure
manually
. However the
Current
Configuration
column of the
Object
Selection
table on the
Network Adapters
page will still show DHCP as the source of the
IP address. You can go back into the
DNS
settings
properties page to confirm that the
manual configuration has been saved.
