You can unfinalize a BD-RE/
DVD-RW (VF mode) finalized on this
camcorder so that additional recording
can be done on it.

Select “YES”, then press the
confirmation button.
The message showing that the disc
is being finalized will appear, and
then the disc will be finalized.
When finalization is complete,
the disc navigation screen will
appear.

navigation screen for a
finalized disc.
• A disc menu with thumbnails
appears when a finalized
BD-RE/BD-R/DVD-RW (VF
mode)/DVD-R disc is inserted
on a BD/DVD player.

Notes
• If the disc in the camcorder has already
been finalized, “Finalize Disc” does
not appear in the menu.
• The time required to finalize that
appears on the “Finalize Disc” screen
is only for reference.
• In case of a DVD-R, it takes longer to
finalize it if recording length is short.
• For a DVD-RW which has previously
been finalized, the next finalization
may be quicker.
