Evaluating expressions
In aplets In the Symbolic view, a variable is a symbol only, and
does not represent one specific value. To evaluate a
function in Symbolic view, press
. If a function calls
another function, then resolves all references to
other functions in terms of their independent variable.
1. Choose the Function
aplet.
Select Function
2. Enter the expressions in the Function aplet’s Symbolic
view.

3. Highlight F3(X).
4. Press
Note how the values
for F1(X) and F2(X) are
substituted into F3(X).
