Check V-belt tension and condition
See the operating instructions of the engine manufacturer.
CAUTION
Service V-belts only with the engine station-
ary.
- Inspect V-belts for cracks and tears over the entire
length.
- Replace damaged V-belts.
- Using thumb pressure, check if the V-belt can not be
depressed more than 10 - 15 mm.
- To tighten V-belts: Loosen the idler pulley mounting
screws and push the pulley outwards until the proper V-
belt tension is reached.
- Tighten the idler pulley mounting fastening screws.
