Continuous readings
In Adjust mode the blinking number turns green and will change or stabilize depending on the air flow.
The measurement will only stop after the red button is pushed again.
Adjust the grille, diffuser or valve to the desired air flow while measuring. Remove the FlowFinder to
adjust the outlet or inlet and re-measure. This works for flows below 45 CFM (75m3/h). Wait until a
stable reading is reached. Stop measuring by pushing the red button to start over again at the new
location. The measuring results in “Adjust mode” can’t be stored.
Switch between “Validate” or “Adjust” by pushing the “return” button in the upper right hand corner.
Make a series of measurements
In Validation mode the text “Compensating pressure” and the flow
direction (red arrow at the bottom) will appear.
After a few seconds “Compensating pressure” is replaced by
“Measure”. After approximately 10 seconds the measurement will
appear, expressed in l/s, m³/h or CFM depending on the setting
from Section 6.
The FlowFinder displays the measurement within 10 to 15 seconds
which can be stored by
touching [Store].
Repeating the measurement 2 or 3 times will lower uncertainty.
Press the red button to take a new measurement. Wait until
the fan in the FlowFinder has come to a rest before taking
another reading.
If the FlowFinder becomes unstable during a measurement,
stop the measurement by pushing the red button.
