the height adjustment screw (17)

.

Ensure that the mains cable is not

caught.

Assembling the rollers:

2. Remove one roller (20) from the

axle.

3. Push the axle through the holes on

the telescopic shaft and reconnect

the rollers and axle (20).

Assembling/dismantling the

telescopic shaft

1. Push the equipment into the tel-

escopic shaft equipment holder

(19). It clicks audibly into place.

2. Plug the plug connection (16) into

the charging socket (5) on the

back of the equipment handle (3).

3. To dismantle, release the plug con-

nection (16) and pull the equip-

ment out of the telescopic shaft

equipment holder (19).

Operation

Keep to noise abatement regulations

and other by-laws.

Switching on and off

1. Remove the blade guard (

8/10) before switching the unit

on.

2. - To switch on, hold the off-lock

switch (2) depressed and

operate the on/off switch

(6). Then release the off-lock

switch.

- To switch on the equipment

when using the telescopic

shaft, operate the off-lock

switch (12) and on/off switch

(14) on the telescopic shaft.

The equipment runs at top

speed.

3. In order to switch off, let go of

the on/off switch (6/14).

When using the telescopic shaft, the unit

can only be switched on and off at the

shaft handle.

After switching the unit

off, the blades take a short

time to stop moving. Let the

blades come to a complete

standstill. Do not touch the

moving blades and do not

try to stop them moving. In-

jury hazard!

General working instructions

While trimming, take care that

there are no objects such as wire,

metal parts, stones etc. come into

contact with the blades. This can

lead to cutting head damage. If the

blades become blocked by solid

objects, switch off the unit at once.

• Check the grass and bush trimmer

blades for obvious defects such as

loose, worn or damaged parts. Check

that the screws are seated firmly in the

blade block.

• Remove the power supply unit before

working with the equipment. Do not

use extension cables. The power sup-

ply unit is to be used only in enclosed

spaces.

• Only use sharp blades to achieve a

good cutting performance and pre-

serve the battery.
