Chapter 3: Commands and Programming
Sample Time Parameter
This parameter specifies how long sampling should be performed in sec-
onds. Setting 0.001 for this parameter specifies that sampling should be per-
formed for 1 millisecond. The initial default for this parameter is 0.5.
0.001 to
16000
Number of seconds
• Set the sample time to 0.5 whenever an external clock is specified as the
clock source.
• Actual sampling time resolution is as shown below, which means that it
does not necessarily match the setting value exactly.

Sampling Time > 2 seconds : 3.2768ms
Also note that sampling over multiple channels, recording of time data,
and other settings also may make it impossible for the data analyzer to
perform sampling according to the sampling time setting.
Number of Samples Parameter
This parameter specifies the number of samples. The initial default for this
parameter is 20.
1 to 512 Number of samples
–1
Continuous data sampling using CFX-9850G Receive( com-
mand
This value is necessary for real-time data sampling.
Once real-time sampling is started, it can be interrupted by
sending a clear command from the calculator or by pressing
the data analyzer's [HALT] key.
The following points apply whenever –1 is specified for the number of sam-
ples parameter for continuous data sampling.
• Only one channel can be active.
• Post-processing cannot be performed.
• Time data recording cannot be performed.
• Data filtering cannot be performed.
• The clock source parameter can only be set to 0 (TIMER) or 1 ([TRIG-
GER] key).
