Connection of the television
Before you connect the television to the mains,
you must connect it to an external tuner. Make
sure you have a 21-pin cable, an adaptor and
other required cables, then connect the
equipment as illustrated to the right.
To be able to use the remote control included with
your external tuner, do not cover its IR receiver
entirely.
Mains connections
Connect the television to the wall outlet. Use
the ~ socket on the connection panel.
If you are going to connect speakers or any other
equipment to the television, do not connect it to
the mains yet!
If you damage the supplied mains cord, it may
affect the TV picture adversely!
Automatic standby …
When you register a source in the
CONNECTIONS menu, you can also select an
‘AUTO STANDBY’ time for your source. This
means that you can select if the connected
source should switch to standby automatically.
The options are:
AFTER 0 MIN … The source switches to standby
immediately when you select another source.
AFTER 0 MIN … The source switches to standby
0 minutes after you have selected another
source*.
AT TV STANDBY … The source switches to stand-
by when you switch the television to standby.
NEVER … The source does not switch to standby
automatically.
FOLLOW TV … The source switches on, when you
switch your television on and it switches to
standby, when you switch your television to
standby.
Sources must be set up in accordance with the
documentation enclosed with them.
*If you switch the television to standby before the
30 minutes have passed, the source is also
switched to standby.
