Introduction
Thank you for choosing the FW-8893/FW-8893C. The FW-
8893/FW-8893C is a 1U platform which features dual Intel
Xeon E5-2600 coupled with cave creek PCH. It features
many major advanced technologies as the following
stated:
2nd Generation Intel Xeon E5-2600/E5-2600 v2 •
Processor family for the LGA 2011:
The motherboard supports up to 2 CPU configurations
(and up to 8 cores per CPU) in the latest 2nd generation
Intel E5-2600 processor in the LGA 2011 package. This
new CPU also comes with the newest PCIe 3.0 bus
standard.
Intel Cave Creek/Coleto Creek Platform Controller

Hub:
The built-in Intel QuickAssist technology on the
Coleto Creek/Cave Creek chipset provides bulk data
encryption/decryption using AES, 3DES or (A)RC4
algorithms and hash using MD5, SHA-1/2 and HMAC
algorithms and pattern matching. The chipset will
also support Intel Virtualization Technology.
Quad-Channel DDR3 DIMM support:

The motherboard supports DDR3 memory that
features quad-channel memory configurations in 16
DIMMs.
4 pairs of Lanner Generation 3 bypass
•
The system supports 4 pairs of Generation 3 bypass to
allow continuous traffic flow even when the system
hangs. We offer a comprehensive suite to implement
this feature by programming. See appendix for more
information.
