3.1 Appropriate Usage
In conjunction with the SMA Sunny Data Control software, the USB Service Interface can carry out
the following tasks:
• Parameterization of SMA inverters during start-up.
• Reading out fault statuses for maintenance purposes.
Do not use the USB service interface for permanent installations.
Only qualified personnel may connect the USB service interface in the inverter.
The USB service interface can generate one link to 1 inverter. If you wish to parameterize or check
more than one inverter, you must parameterize or check each inverter individually.
