2 Setup
2.1 Configuring Grid Management (Active
and Reactive Power)
The grid management behaviour is configured directly via
the web interface of the master inverter.
1. Via Ethernet, connect a PC or laptop directly to
the inverter or to the router (if one is present).
2. Open an Internet browser. In the address line,
type the IP address of the master inverter
(example: http://192.168.0.2). The IP address can
be found via the inverter display [Setup
→
Communication
→ IP Address].
3. Log in with a level 1 password or higher. Note:
The inverter will be unlocked with security level 1
access for 5 hours after initial configuration. If
level 1 access is not possible, contact SMA Solar
Technology AG.
4. Navigate to: Plant level [Setup
→ Grid
management].
When using the PLA Option, active power (P) and
reactive power (Q) can be remotely controlled
through adjustment of output power level. For
other grid management functionalities of the FLX
series, see the FLX Design Guide.
5. If both active power control and reactive power
control are needed, enable both check marks and
press ‘Next’ in order to be guided through the
configuration screens.
